No. This event is being run as a novice navigational rally, where the primary focus is to have fun, and the secondary focus is to show how a navigational rally works. There will be a drivers/navigators' meeting prior to the event to discuss the basic techniques of competing successfully in a navigational rally.

5) Do I need any special equipment to participate in this event? Having a clipboard, an accurate stopwatch/digital watch, and a calculator (and several pens) will help you to keep track of your progress during the event. TSD rules and regulations also require the following:

a) Vehicles must meet legal road worthiness standards and in TSD events shall have the following: proper safety belts for all people in vehicle; working horn, lights, windshield wipers, exhaust system, brakes and safe tires

b) Significant loose objects should be placed in trunk OR if kept in the passenger compartment, tied down adequately to hold in position.

6) You're going to be putting number plates on my car for the event. Won't that scratch my doors? No, the vinyl number plates can be applied and removed carefully without damaging your cars finish. You are welcome to keep the number plates on your vehicle following the event. The vinyl plates will be installed by event volunteers/scrutineers during inspection of your vehicle prior to the rally.
